Ward 2 Candidate
About Mike
A lifelong Sault Ste. Marie resident committed to building a stronger, safer Ward 2 for every family.
Rooted in Ward 2
Mike Doan has called Ward 2 home his entire life. Raised in the neighbourhood he now seeks to represent, Mike understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities that define daily life for residents — from aging infrastructure and road conditions to the need for safer streets and thriving local businesses.
With a background in community organizing and local advocacy, Mike has spent years working alongside neighbours, business owners, and community groups to push for practical solutions at City Hall. He believes that good governance starts with listening — and that Ward 2 deserves a councillor who shows up, follows through, and fights for results.
Mike is a proud father, a small business supporter, and a volunteer who has contributed to local initiatives ranging from neighbourhood clean-ups to youth sports programs. He brings the same energy and accountability to everything he does — and he's ready to bring it to Ward 2.
